My "Quarantine" Lookbook

COVID-19 has been a pivotal moment in my style journey. I've been given the opportunity to reinvent myself. I no longer feel limited to skinny jeans and crop tops. I've been reaching outside my comfort zone and experimenting with new looks, and I'm very excited to share some of my favorites.

Look #1: Grocery Store Couture

Top: Old Navy

This oversized, powder-blue top looks extra cute with a little knot in the side. This effortless look made me the belle of the ball at my local Walmart.

Bottoms: Lululemon

This outfit features my nicest pair of black leggings. These are a great staple item for when you are feeling a little bit like dressing up for a big event like grocery shopping.

Shoes: Adidas

These crisp, white sneakers look great with any outfit. My best tip for keeping them in the best condition is to not wear them outside of the house much (which isn't probably a big issue for most right now.)

Mask: Home Depot

This exclusive surgical mask will complete any look. This particular style is hard to find, so they're a head-turner in public.

Look #2: Residence Rags

Top: Forever 21

This trendy tube-top is super comfortable and cute. It is simple and will go with whatever bottoms you decide to pair with it.

Bottoms: boohoo

These stone-pink lounge shorts are the perfect bottoms for the day-to-day of social distancing. They can be worn on the couch, in your bedroom, to dinner in the kitchen, and even outside to check the mail or water the plants.

Hair: I decided to leave my hair unbrushed for this look! It saved me some time and all-natural is very in.

Look 3: Essential Worker Chic

Top: Hy-Vee

This oversized, white chef's coat is part of the uniform stylings of my employer. I added my own bit of flair with the black marker in my shirt pocket.

Bottoms: ?

These black pants are a necessity for the workplace! SO comfy and look great with this top.

Shoes: Nike

These black sneakers are as essential as myself and my coworkers are! They are comfortable for all-day wear and are easy to clean.

Mask: Custom-made

This one-of-a-kind piece was sewn BY HAND by a friend of mine. The high-quality material allows for heavy protection but breathability. It has been perfectly tailored to fit around my ears without pulling. It's even machine washable!

Look #4: Zoom Meeting Zoot Suit

Top: Forever 21

This sophisticated piece features bright colors, a row of buttons, and a professional collar. It's important to dress for success during meetings with your boss or coworkers.

Bottoms: H&M

These grey sweatpants put the "casual" in "business-casual." They are a nice compliment to the top and are my personal favorite part of the look.

Accessories: This look couldn't be complete without my favorite technological device- my laptop!

In all seriousness, I am excited to eventually get back to picking out an outfit that might include a pair of pants that I haven't slept in before. Shoot! I might even do a full face of makeup when this is all over. I hope some of you reading were able to relate to this post and could find some humor in all of this.
