You've all seen those people on Facebook... you know, the ones who start an argument in the comments section of EVERY post. My generation likes to call these kind of people "Karen."

First, I want to say sorry to anyone with the name Karen. I'm sure you're lovely people! Your name is just another victim of Gen Z meme-ery.

Recently, while stuck in my house all week, I've seen "Karen" and her negativity everywhere. She's mad at the people who hoarded toilet paper but is equally as angry when she goes to the store and there is a limit on how much she can buy. She is disgusted that people still have to leave the house to go to work under the current circumstances, but simply can not believe that she went to the grocery store and there wasn't anyone around to help her. And you know what? We're all sick and tired of Karen. Personally, I am SO sick of Karen, in fact, that I became one of "those" people. Yes, I was angry enough to argue with a Karen in the comments section of a Facebook post. I was dumb enough to believe that Karen would listen to the voice of reason. Oh, yes... I fell for it.

Sometimes people are so miserable with their own lives, they simply can not be pleased. Having worked in customer service for so long, I can tell you, I meet people every single day who are even angry after they are given exactly what they have asked for. It's madness! But it's reality. Unfortunately, the internet is the perfect place for these miserable people to troll the masses and attempt to make other people act just as unbearable as they are. Arguing with them doesn't work, so don't bother. I'm sure after reading my comment, my Karen didn't feel any less self-righteous than she did before, and boy, am I a fool for thinking she would!

There's no better way to combat the army of Karens on the internet than to just ignore them all. Their powers are fueled by the rational arguments of others! We already have a hefty list of worries right now. Don't add Karen's opinions to your list!
